English translation by Gulnara Elrod. Крепостная стена. Зубцы на торце башни до реставрации выглядели не так. Старые сломали, и построили новые. Реставраторы хреновы (далее РХ) This is the castle wall, which was mentioned during my previous visit as being "incredibly wide". This time I overcame laziness and climbed on top of it. It is about 1.5 yards thick. The memories of the childhood are often exaggerating. The teeth of the tower looked different before the restoration. The restaurateurs broke old teeth of the tower and built new once instead. Damn Restaurateurs (I'll call them further DR shortly ).  А это замок внутри. РХ закрыли все входы и окна, но в одном окне кирпичная кладка была кем-то заботливо разобрана. Внутри ничего не изменилось, все те же завалы мусора, грязные матрацы, бутылки. This is the castle inside. DR closed with bricks all the entries and windows, and only in one window bricks were carefully removed. Nothing had changed inside the building: the same piles of garbage; dirty mattresses; bottles.

А из этого колодца когда-то был вход в подземелье, которое, по слухам тянется оччень далеко, чуть ли не в Меджибож или Каменец-Подольский. Вообще под городом подземных ходов куча. Время от времени они обваливались, в разных неожиданных местах типа главной улицы, кто-то в них уходил и не возвращался, в общем их было много, и с ними в истории города связано многое. А еще есть легенда, что этот колодец во время немецкой оккупации был доверху завален трупами. In this well there was someday an entry into underground tunnels. They went, by rumors, very far, almost to town called Medjiboj or Kamenets-Podolskiy. Generally, there are lots of underground tunnels. Sometimes they'd sink, in some places unexpected, like central street, sometimes someone would go into the tunnels and never come back. There existed many of them, and town's history is strongly tide up to them. Also, people say that during German occupation (WWII) this well was filled to the top with dead bodies. 
Окно замка. РХ сохранили совковые размеры окон, хотя на снимке прекрасно видно, что изначально окна были гораздо больше и округлые вверху. Here is the window of the castle. DR saved soviet rectangular size of the windows, although on this picture it is visible that in the beginning windows were a lot bigger and arched on the top.  |
